Greg Foat – The Rituals of Infinity

London-based keyboardist and composer Greg Foat is set to release his latest album, The Rituals of Infinity. Drawing inspiration from a mix of iconic science fiction works (A Private Cosmos, The Dark Labyrinth, The World of the Red Sun) and historical legends like Minerva’s Owl, the album reflects Foat’s rich storytelling through jazz. The closing piece, Minerva’s Owl, resonates with Hegel’s philosophy, symbolising understanding gained through reflection.

This album features a stellar lineup, including Art Themen on Soprano and Tenor Saxophones, Trevor Walker on Trumpet and Flugel Horn, Katherine Farnden on Cor Anglais, and Jasper Osbourne on Bass Guitar. Natcyet Wakili’s fluid drumming and guest Shawn Lee’s haunting waterphone notes add depth to the tracks.

Greg will debut The Rituals of Infinity at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club this January, where its blend of creativity, history, and masterful execution will surely captivate audiences.
